Solar Light Tower Rental

A solar light tower rental is a towable, mast-mounted LED lighting plant that charges from onboard solar panels and lithium batteries instead of a diesel engine. Contractors use it to light night work, laydown yards, traffic control, and temporary parking without fuel runs, idle noise, or after-hours refueling labor. Solight designs and builds those towers in Mesa, Arizona, then delivers them for rent across Arizona, California, Utah, and Nevada — the same hardware we ship for sale worldwide.

Solight also delivers and rents solar light towers across Texas, including Dallas–Fort Worth and Houston. Texas jobs are quoted from the Mesa factory — not a local Texas yard. See solar light tower rental Texas.

What you actually rent (and why it is not a diesel fleet unit)

National rental houses such as Sunbelt, United, and Herc stock diesel light towers because that is what their branch network already services. You pay by the day for a noisy, fuel-hungry machine that still needs someone to start it, refuel it, and call for a breakdown. A Solight rental is different: you are renting a manufacturer-built solar tower from the factory that made it, not a depreciated diesel asset from a mixed fleet. Construction crews still call these units light plants; on this page we mean the same machine as a solar light tower.

Typical equipment on a Solight rental includes high-efficiency LED flood lights on a telescoping mast, a lithium battery bank sized for dusk-to-dawn runtime, and an adjustable solar array that recharges during Arizona sun. Digital timers or dusk-to-dawn photocells handle the night cycle so the tower is not a babysitting job for a night superintendent.

Typical 2026 Phoenix-area rental rates (quote, not a price list)

Phoenix, Mesa, and East Valley contractors ask for ballpark numbers before they call. Published 2026 ranges we see in this market:

  • Daily: $150–$300
  • Weekly: $500–$1,000
  • Monthly: $1,200–$3,000

Treat those as planning figures, not a rate card. Actual quotes depend on model (compact event light vs. dual-mast 2500-watt tower), quantity, mast height, delivery distance, and how long the unit stays on your job. Call 480-626-2044 or use the contact form for a current Arizona delivery quote.

Delivery, setup, and dusk-to-dawn operation

Solight stages rentals from 419 E. Juanita Ave #102, Mesa, AZ 85204. Hours are 8am–5pm Monday through Friday, Arizona time (no daylight-saving shift). For metro Phoenix we typically deliver, spot the trailer, raise the mast, and confirm the photocell/timer so the lights come on at dusk and drop at dawn. Remote Arizona jobs (mines, highway packages, border-adjacent yards) get the same factory support — you are not waiting on a national-brand branch to find a working unit.

Because the tower is solar, you do not schedule a fuel truck every five days. That matters on locked jobsites, tribal land, and DOT night closures where a diesel refill is a second mobilization.

Diesel cost contrast (homepage math, 2026 fuel)

Leaving a diesel light tower running is the expensive part, not the rental line on the PO. Using the same basis as our homepage solar-vs-diesel comparison — 10 hours a day, 5 days a week, 52 weeks, diesel at $5.79/gallon, refuel every 5 days — a conventional diesel tower runs about $16,371 per year in fuel, refueling labor, and servicing. The solar equivalent is about $400 per year in servicing, with $0 fuel. Renting solar does not magically zero every cost, but it removes the fuel-and-labor line that diesel rental never shows you until the invoices stack up.

Models we rent and sell

Browse the current lighting lineup on /lighting/ and the combined catalog on /products/. Common rental conversations:

  • SLT-450 — compact solar event light, 32,000 lumens, 15 ft mast, easy to spot in a lot or staging area.
  • SLT-1200 / SLT-1200M — 64,000 lumens, 10.2 kWh lithium, dusk-to-dawn; the military variant adds extra charge paths (AC, NATO slave, optional wind).
  • SLT-1600 / SLT-1800 — electronic-tilt arrays and rotating light bars when you need to aim light without climbing the mast.
  • SLT-2500 — dual 30 ft masts, 128,000 lumens, 20.5 kWh bank for large yards and highway packages.
  • SLT-4100H — hybrid solar/diesel for sites that want solar runtime with a Kubota backup generator.

Need cameras on the same trailer? That is a different product family — see solar security towers and our solar security camera rental page. For Arizona construction lighting context, read Arizona construction lights.

Arizona, Phoenix, and Mesa — manufacturer on the ground

Solight is not a drop-ship reseller. Towers are Made in the USA at our Mesa shop. We rent locally in Arizona, California, Utah, and Nevada and sell/ship nationwide. If you are comparing a Phoenix solar light tower rental against a diesel branch quote, you are comparing a factory unit built for this climate against a generic fleet machine. Heat, dust, and long summer days are why lithium + high-angle solar actually works here.

We also sell the same models. Many contractors rent first on a project, then purchase once the superintendent sees dusk-to-dawn runtime without a fuel ticket. Say so on the quote request if you want a rent-to-purchase conversation.
